Stationary equipment

In regards the operation of stationary electric equipment, the German Institute for Standardization (VDE 0105) describes, besides general directions, the requirements for the maintenance of the proper state. In paragraph 5.3 the requirements for the repetition tests are described as follows:

  • Electric equipment is to be maintained in a proper state according to the installation standards and the safety regulations. The same statement is included in the Energy Industry Act §49 paragraph 1.

  • It must be ascertained, whether adaptations according to the valid standards with existing equipment were made or are required.

  • The defects which represent an immediate hazard must be immediately removed.

  • Recurring tests: „Inspect – Test – Measure“
