According to the German Civil Code (BGB) §633 the contractor has to provide the customer the works (e.g. electrical installations) free from material defects and defective titles. This is likewise regulated in the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) part B in §13.

Unfortunately, during the testing of electrical installations we detect time and again, that defects with those installations exist. During the test and latest at the acceptance, defects or the disregard of accepted regulations should be recognized.

With the acceptance of the installation commences the period for warranty claims. In the German Civil Code (BGB) §634a and the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) part B §13 the limitation period is regulated. After this period it is much more difficult to claim and demand legitimate defects successfully.
